National Readership Survey

If you're involved with decisions on where to spend your media dollars on print advertising, the Nielsen Media National Readership Survey is your key to gaining an in-depth understanding on the print media market.

The survey is the media industry's preferred source of readership information - Publishers, Advertising Agencies and Advertisers rely on the information to help make their media business decisions.

Each year we conduct face-to-face interviews with 12,000 people throughout New Zealand. The nationwide sample is representative of New Zealanders aged 10 and over, and the survey results are independently audited.

The Survey covers 200 publications, including magazines, daily newspapers, Sunday newspapers and community newspapers. Plus, the media information is easily linked with consumer's lifestyle, opinions and demographics.
